What is a Satellite Tour?

Satellite Media Tours (SMT's) are planned TV interviews between a newsmaker or spokesperson and multiple individual or national TV news programs and talk shows across the country. The interviews originate from the newsmaker's location, which can be anywhere in the world.

Newsmakers range from politicians and bestselling authors to celebrity entertainers, athletes and film and TV personalities. Spokespersons are often introducing the latest hot product -- or multiple products in our co-op tours. They are telling a story that brings brand awareness while delivering core messages.

We produce most of our in-studio satellite tours from New York and Los Angeles but also produce from studios in San Francisco, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Miami, Nashville, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Seattle, Denver, Salt Lake City, Orlando and Washington, D.C.

Many of our SMT's are live remotes produced on location from news or entertainment events -- the opening of a theme park ride, for example, or anywhere the visual background or physical location enhances the story we are telling to the media.

In a typical Satellite Media Tour, TV interviews are scheduled back-to-back over 4 hours with local, national and syndicated programs and stations located across all the U.S. time zones.
